To further increase knowledge about Aruba among travel agents throughout Europe, the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) has extended their branded elearning platform based on the learning technology of The ETraining Company. Portals in four languages are available for travel agents and tour operators in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Great Britain. In each language an informative elearning module about the complete tourist offer in Aruba is offered.
International examples
Based in part on other successful elearning portals such as those of Mexican Caribbean, Northern Cape - South Africa, Florida Keys and Indonesia, Aruba decided in 2023 tto deploy a dedicated elearning portal . Knowledge enhancement is essential for the island. This summer Aruba extened the cooperation meaning the portal will be online at least until 31.12.2025. Several innovative tourism boards all ove rthe world are using an international ETC elearning training portal which offers them also a strong possibiltiy to build a database of experts and travel professionals in European countries..
Valuable certificate of knowledge
One Happy Island: pearly white sand beaches, azure sea, year-round sunshine and friendly people. Topics covered in the module include Oranjestad, Palm Beach and Eagle Beach paradise and the Arikok National Park. During the training, travel agents are actively involved in the module through interactive practice questions. And with the test at the end of the training they can test their knowledge afterwards. Every agent who achieves a satisfactory result will receive a valuable knowledge certificate and will also have a chance to participate in the study tours that the Aruba Tourism Authority is organising every year
